Style Spotters are charged with scouring the Market to find their favorite products and top trends, leaving behind a card on each item they “spot”. These finds are then posted to High Point Market Pinterest boards and contribute to the two Style Reports (Summer/Fall and Winter/Spring) that the HPMA produces. They additionally share their top product predictions in advance of Market via various digital and social channels.

This 43-page report was developed by eight trend tracking experts, all part of the HPMA’s 2019 Style Spotters team, who scoured the Fall High Point Market, October 19-23, for the hottest must-have items and then translated their picks into today’s top trends. The report highlights 24 different trends, ranging from “Paris is Burning” to “A Woven World”, from “Animal Attraction Action” to “Merlot Madness”, and more. In all, the report features 95 different products from 58 different High Point Market exhibitors. HIGH POINT, N.C., November 20, 2019 — The High Point Market Authority has once again teamed up with the Design Influencers Conference to launch and co-produce a brand track for the 2020 conference, to be held in San Francisco on March 1-3. The Design Influencers Conference, previously known as the Design Bloggers Conference, launched in 2011 and continues to be the only conference specifically focused on design influencers, interior designers, and design professionals using digital content and digital platforms to build their businesses and personal brands. This new track, which launched at the February 2019 conference, will provide educational programming geared towards those on the other side of the equation, the home furnishings manufacturers and brands who are looking to connect with design influencers. It will be focused on providing the tools needed to succeed with this new mainstream marketing strategy that is driving sales and revenue while creating awareness and building trust for savvy home furnishings marketers. High Point Market Announces App Update and New Features for Fall Market 2019

HIGH POINT, N.C., October 8, 2019 – The High Point Market Authority’s award-winning app, which made its debut right before the April 2016 Market, has released an update that includes 5 new features designed to enhance the user experience for High Point Market attendees. New features have been added to expand the versatility of searching and selecting. Users are now able to sort exhibitors in their MyMarket plan by alphabetical, building, favorite, neighborhood, and shuttle stop. Existing features allowed for in-depth searching capability of the full exhibitor list, but now users can additionally sort through their personalized list too. The new favorites feature allows app users to further identify certain exhibitors within their MyMarket list with the addition of a heart icon. The existing star icon saves an exhibitor to one’s personal list, and now the heart icon can narrow down the list even more, when needed. A new notes feature allows exhibitors to keep track of why they “loved” a particular exhibitor, or any number of other thoughts a user may have about a specific brand. New features have also been added for the events portion of the app. The full event calendar has been available in the app since its debut, but now users can sort the calendar by educational or social events. HIGH POINT, N.C., September 17, 2019 – The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) will once again be offering an expanded version of their popular Style Spotters Trend Tours program for Fall Market, October 19-23, 2019. Focused on exposing Market attendees to the wide variety of exhibitors High Point Market has to offer, Style Spotters Trend Tours, sponsored by Crypton and Studio Designer, has been a favorite program of Market guests for several years. Traditionally, the Style Spotters Trend Tours have been offered on Tuesday of each Market, immediately following the Style Spotters LIVE! breakfast. The tours consisted of each Style Spotter picking two of their favorite showrooms around Market and then leading a group on a tour of those two showrooms within a 60-minute timeframe. This program was expanded at the spring 2019 Market to offer two different types of Trend Tours – Favorites Tours and Category Tours. The Favorites Tours will follow the traditional schedule and will be offered on the morning of Tuesday, October 22, at 10:15am following the Style Spotters’ breakfast event, showcasing two favorite showrooms each during one-hour tours. Four Style Spotters will offer these tours – Shayla Copas, Kara Cox, Benjamin Johnston, and Courtney McLeod. No RSVP is required for the Favorites Tours. Located on Commerce Ave, between S. Main and Wrenn streets, The Point debuted in April 2018 during Spring Market as the first freestanding, High Point Market-branded venue conceived to enhance the buyer experience. Since its introduction, The Point has served as an information hub for Market attendees and has hosted celebrity meet and greets, educational roundtables, panel discussions, networking opportunities, and the widely popular Parson’s Table Pop-Up lunch service. The Point will open on Friday, October 18, at 11 am, and the programming is open to all Market attendees. Hours are 8 am to 8 pm on Saturday, October 19, through Monday, October 21, and 8am to 6pm on Tuesday, October 22.
