High Point Market Authority Releases the Second Edition of the Refreshed Style Report

HIGH POINT, N.C., June 7, 2022 – The High Point Market Authority (HPMA) releases its biannual Style Report, meticulously refreshed to introduce a storytelling component into the product overviews contained within. Comprised of 20 Style Stories, this report is a compilation of some of the unique and intriguing product insights found at the recent Spring High Point Market. The 43-page Style Report, sponsored by Crypton Home Fabric and Studio Designer, was produced by HPMA’s talented 2022 Style Spotters team, who perused an abundance of new product introductions and dove into numerous brand backstories to curate this collection of stories. The stories are presented as part of three compelling categories. “Behind the Scenes” tells the story behind a product or brand, giving the reader a deeper understanding and appreciation of how a piece is made, the culture it came from, the artisans who make it, or the science behind it. “On the Scene” is a story built around a style, a product category, colors, textures, or any number of themes. “Must be Seen” is a celebration of a favorite product, collection, or brand, sharing why it is beloved and a must-see stop at High Point Market.

High Point Market Authority President Announces Retirement, Nagem Named Successor

Spring High Point Market Pre-Registration Set to Close with Strong Marks

HIGH POINT, N.C., March 29, 2022 — With just hours to go until the close of pre-registration and days away from the start of the spring High Point Market, April 2-6, High Point Market Authority (HPMA) leaders are optimistic for the strongest Market since before the COVID-19 pandemic. Pre-registration data is tracking several percentage points higher than at this point before last fall’s Market, according to Tom Conley, HPMA’s president and CEO. “The registration patterns since COVID show people deciding on attendance much closer to the event date, and that’s still holding true this cycle. Given such, we expect to inch up a few more percentage points over this next week and end up with our largest attendance numbers since 2019.” International interest is helping, with international registrations tracking 38% higher than last October and almost triple last spring. Although outreach over the past few months revealed a hesitancy to travel still exists for some, there are many ready and willing to embrace transit, especially as government- imposed travel restrictions ease.
